Many supply chain professionals have had to adapt to the changing landscape as it has unfolded this past year. With a constantly evolving mix of challenges, logistics professionals who wish to stay competitive should be making investments in their future. With the demand for deeper supply chain skills increasing, now is the time to invest in continuing education. ProShip has multiple sources for growing that knowledge including eBooks, Case Studies, Webinars, Podcasts, and our Blog.
Occasionally, ProShip will offer local opportunities for supply chain professionals to speak with our team of parcel shipping experts. On August 26, 2021, ProShip is offering a 4-hour workshop titled, “Futurizing Parcel Distribution” at our offices in Brookfield, Wisconsin, in conjunction with Wisconsin’s chapter of the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM).
ProShip Workshop Details
While life has changed dramatically for most of this past year, the supply chain has also been stressed more than ever before. With stay-at-home orders and changed consumer behaviors, e-commerce and online shopping have stretched shipping and logistics networks to capacity, literally. As shippers have pivoted to meet the new metrics for a fully functional supply chain (including enhanced customer expectations, lower shipping costs, and faster delivery times), the need for flexibility, cost savings and optimization within parcel distribution has stepped into the spotlight.
In this 4-hour workshop hosted by ProShip and their team of parcel shipping experts, participants will learn about the changes in the transportation and supply chain industry and dive deep into the balance of transportation spend and customer experience, the importance of diverse carrier networks and omnichannel strategies, and the value of the enterprise technology stack (ESS) calling the shots behind the scenes.
